{"id":591,"date":"2014-10-22T19:23:31","date_gmt":"2014-10-23T00:23:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.amibroker.com\/kb\/?p=591"},"modified":"2014-12-03T08:08:03","modified_gmt":"2014-12-03T13:08:03","slug":"how-to-force-line-chart-style-for-specific-symbols","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.amibroker.com\/wordpress\/kb\/2014\/10\/22\/how-to-force-line-chart-style-for-specific-symbols\/","title":{"rendered":"How to force Line chart style for specific symbols (like mutual funds)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There is an easy way to avoid switching the price chart style back and forth if we want e.g. to display a candlestick chart for our stock symbols, but a line chart for just a subset of tickers in our database (e.g. mutual funds).<\/p><p>To achieve that &#8211; we need to set <strong>Continuous Quotations<\/strong> option to <strong>No<\/strong> in <strong>Symbol->Information<\/strong> window for the symbols that have only one price fixing per day (only close price available).<\/p><p><img src=\"\/\/www.amibroker.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/line1.png\" alt=\"Continuous Quotations\" \/><\/p><p>Then &#8211; if we choose <strong>View->Price Chart Style<\/strong> to <strong>Auto<\/strong> &#8211; the chart  will automatically use <strong>Line<\/strong> style for all symbols that have <strong>Continuous quotations<\/strong> option set to <strong>No<\/strong>.
